Chardleigh Cottage is our home.   In 2010 we, David and Morag Roulston, will be opening the garden for the second time under the National Garden Scheme to raise money for charity.

We have lived here for over 15 years, but only started to work on the house five years ago when we added  two extensions and turned the old cottage into a bright and inviting open plan home suitable for today's living while still retaining its oak timber frame character.

It was during this time that the garden was only seriously started on to transform it from a tired sloping garden that was difficult to maintain, into an organically terraced garden giving many different routes to take you to see the garden from many a different view.  Although it's still a young garden it offers a very colourfull display of many shrubs, perennials and bulbs throughout the year and shows a good solution for a steeply sloped garden.
